I can’t tell you how excited I am to have a week off and skiing nonetheless.  Usually I have tons of prescheduled post’s planned for when I’m gone but I’ve been a major slacker. Top 10 Post of 2011

 

Another year has flown by! I wanted to take a second to recap my Top 10 posts for 2011 as we head into the New year! This is going to be a mix of my favorite projects and my most visited projects. Usually they are one in the same :)

 

1. This pallet art is by far the most viewed post on my blog. And it does happen to be my favorite!

 

 

2. My second favorite project and also the second most viewed post on my blog is my “love” pallet art.

 

 

3. This sinfully delicious cheesecake dip is the third most viewed link of the year.

 

 

4. This ribbon organizer is super easy and ranks in at number four.

 

 

5. This lacquered sofa table turned distressed white beauty is one of my favorite transformations.

 

 

6. This project only ranks on my own list. It was the first complete baby outfit that I sewed and I just love the color combo and ruffles.

 

 

7. This wooden tray ranks on my favorite projects. It was so simple to make.

 

 

 

8. I absolutely love this two toned chair. The dark stain combined with the paint makes for a great combo.

 

 

9. This sisal rope wreath is interchangeable for any season or design that I want.

 

 

10. This deco mesh wreath might be my favorite wreath of all time. I just love every single little detail about it!

Front Porch Deco Mesh Garland {Tutorial}

So I showed you guys my deco mesh wreath and promised a tutorial for how I made my garland. It’s the same concept for both the wreath and garland. There is seriously NO way you can mess this up!

Start with a plain green garland. You won’t be able to see any of it once you finish.

Take a section of the mesh and sort of squish it down to make a bubble.

Then take a pipe cleaner or twist tie and secure it around the garland.

This is what it looks like once you have the base of white on. A hot mess. But then you take your smaller deco mesh ribbon and go back through….

I twist tied the red to all the sections that were there before and middle of the sections.

Here’s a visual. You will take your red and twist tie it like the picture.

Then you go back through and fill in the spaces where you can see the twist ties with ornaments. It’s so simple but make a big impact! (I think I need a Christmas mat… it looks a smidge out of place!)

I think there will be more deco mesh in my future :)

Guest Post: Created By Cori {Cupcake Liner Wreath}

Today I've got Created by Cori here sharing her fun take on a cupcake liner wreath! Be sure and visit her blog :)

I have had a cupcake tin wreath idea in my head for a couple days and I finally had to bring it to life.  This couldn't have been more easy!  I found some cute cupcake tins at Joanne's yesterday and went to work.  I bent a wire hanger into a circle shape, slipped on the cupcake tins and hot glued them in place.  Last, I tied some ribbon to hang it up!

Deco Mesh Christmas Wreath

Down here in the South, there’s this stuff called deco mesh. Maybe you’ve heard of or seen it. It’s super popular this year and I jumped right on that bandwagon!

And oh.my.word. I love this wreath more than any other wreath I’ve ever made. Ever.

I used all of these supplies to make this wreath. You can’t tell in the picture but the wreath form is mostly wire with a few sprigs of greenery. You won’t be able to see any of the greenery once you make it!

I don’t have a tutorial for the wreath but I’ll be back to show you how I made the garland around our front door. It’s basically the same concept.

My Christmas Tree & Mantel

My mantel from last year hasn’t changed to awfully much. I mostly changed up the garland and added lights. You can see the tutorial for the trees in the right hand corner here.
