ReplyDeleteMy favorite family tradition is decorating our tree as a family. We go tromp through the woods (legally!), and find the perfect tree. Cut it down, bring it home, and spend some more quality time as a family stringing lights and putting on ornaments. I love it!

ReplyDeleteI think my FAVORITE Christmas tradition started years ago with my mom. Every year on Christmas Eve we would bring a huge platter full of baked goods to our local fire department. We always appreciated that they were always there, away from their loved ones, to protect us. Now that I am grown and have my own kids we have kept this tradition going. We now are a military family so we get to bring baked goods to the military fire fighters on base! It feels doubley (is that a word? LOL) good!

My favorite tradition growing up was on Christmas Eve, we read "The Night Before Christmas" and the story of Christ's birth in the Bible in Luke. All the kids (and parents) had their own book/bible, so it was fun to follow along. I'm hoping to keep that tradition with my young family as we grow.

My favorite Christmas tradition is baking all kinds of goods with my sisters. Afterwards, as the whole family is eating the desserts in the living room, we sit by the fire playing games with Christmas music playing in the background. We do this every year and it's what I look forward to the most.
